Cricut Cardz Challenge

For Challenge #59, Make a Valentine's Day card for a child using any cartridges or colors you'd like. http://www.cricutcardzchallenge.blogspot.com/

Here is the card I made for the challenge...

I used the Smiley Cards from my Gypsy. I cut the heart at 3" and the XOXO at 1".

I glittered the XOXO with Martha Stewart fine glitter. I punched the center of the O's with a flower punch, glittered them red then glued them to the XOXO.

The vanilla card stock is cut at 8.5" X 5.5" and folded in half.

The red card stock is cut to 5.25" X 4".

I then cut the white flowered card stock to 5 X 3.75"

The brown flowered card stock is cut to 1.5" X 3.75".

The flowered pattern papers are from Stampin' Up, as is the ribbon.

I put the heart and the XOXO on the card using pop dots to give the it some dimension.

Neglected Cartridge Challenge - Fantabulous Cricut

The challenge is to use a cartridge that you have not used in the last 6 months. I decided to make an envelope album using one of the envelopes from the Wild Card cartridge. I used the envelope on page 63 and cut 8 of them to fit to page (12 X 12).

I then manually cut two pieces of paper to make the outside cover. I glued them together with a ribbon running between them, so the album could be tied shut.

The hinges were cut from Fabulous Finds, another neglected cartridge of mine. I distressed them with Tim Holtz distress inks. I also inked around the edges of the envelopes and cover with gold ink.

Finally, I embellished the album with a few gem stones, some stickers and stamped it with gold ink.

More Than Favors - Wacky Wednesday Challenge

This week's challenge was to make something using the colors pink, brown, and green. All my favorite colors, YAY!!! I love this color combo so much that I made two cards, then I could not decide which one I liked the best. So, I decided to post them both. They were made using the Forever Young Cartridge.

Birthday Card for Robyn's Challenge at My Pink Stamper

Hi everyone. Here is the Birthday Card I made for Robyn's birthday at MyPinkStamper.com.  Happy Birthday Robyn!!!  She posted a challenge for her followers to create a birthday for a chance to win a very nice prize.  Robyn's website is full of fantastic ideas for paper crafters. She also has the most wonderful stamps I have ever used. I used one of her stamps to make this card.

So here is how I made this card.

Light pink card stock cut to 9" X 6 3/4".  Then folded in half making a card 4 1/2" X 6 3/4".

Light green card stock cut to 4" X 6 1/4". Then I sent it through the cuddle bug using Swiss Dots.

Brown card stock cut to 3 1/2" X 3 1/2". The I cuddle bugged it with the D'vine Swirls.

I used my Forever Young Cricut cartridge to cut out the flower. It is the flower on page 69. I cut the flower at 3 1/2".

I sent all the pieces of the flower through my Xyron. Then I glittered them with Martha Stewart fine glitter. I used Limeade on the center of the flower, Cotton Candy on the light pink part, and Bubble Gum on the dark pink part of the flower.

I then added some tiny pink Prima flowers with brown brads in the center of the flowers. I also tied on some pink ribbon.

I used pop dots to make the flower stand out on the card.

Finally I stamped the card using one of Robyn's stamp from the Family and Friends collection.  I used Chocolate Chip ink from Stampin' Up.

Hope you enjoy!

Starting my own blog!!!

I am a crafter and I decided I would start my own blog and share some of my ideas. I love my Cricut and love making things with it. I also crochet and knit and will share some those projects too. I love following other blogs and seeing what other crafters are doing and what ideas they have. That is what gave me the idea to start my own blog and share some my ideas.

I will post my first craft idea tonight. It will be a card I made using my Cricut (Forever Young Cartridge),  Martha Stewart fine glitter, and a stamp by My Pink Stamper.

Look for it later this evening.
